da casino: Glasgow Rangers officially confirmed the signing of Danish winger Andreas Skov Olsen ahead of their clash with Annan Athletic in the SFA Cup on Friday night.
da bet7: The Light Blues brought the forward, Tochi Chukwuani, and Tuur Rommens out in front of the crowd at Ibrox before the game, which they went on to win 5-0.
It has been reported that the Gers have an option to Skov Olsen’s loan permanent in the summer if they pay a fee of £8.6m to Wolfsburg for the attacker.
The left-footed star will need to be a huge success at Ibrox for them to splash out that kind of fee on his services, as it would make him their second-most expensive signing of all time, only behind Tore Andre Flo’s £12m move in 2000 and just ahead of Youssef Chermiti’s £8m move from Everton last summer.
Why Andreas Skov Olsen is a risky signing for Rangers
Skov Olsen is an incredibly exciting addition for the Scottish Premiership giants because of the quality that he could bring to the pitch for the Gers in the second half of this season.
The 26-year-old wing wizard, as illustrated in the graphic above, delivered goals and assists on a regular basis throughout his time with Club Brugge in Belgium.
If he can get back to the level that he showed in the Pro League, Rangers will have an incredible player on their hands and one who will be worth the £8.6m outlay.

However, as you can see in the table above, Skov Olsen only produced two goals and one assist in 20 appearances in the Bundesliga for Wolfsburg during his 12 months with the German side.
The risk for Rangers is that he carries that form over to Ibrox, instead of his form for Club Brugge, which is why this is a risky, yet exciting, piece of business for the club.
Whilst Skov Olsen has the potential to be an excellent player for the Light Blues, there is a player who could be an even better signing for Danny Rohl’s side this month.
The star who could be a better signing than Skov Olsen
After some speculation from supporters on X in recent days, Rangers Review reported that the club have not made any contact with Motherwell about a deal to sign Tawanda Maswanhise in the January transfer window.

The report added, though, that there is still scope for the Light Blues to add another forward to their squad before the end of the window, after the signing of Skov Olsen.
Whilst there has not been any contact or registered interest in Maswanhise, Rangers could sign another attacker and he would be an even better signing for the club than Skov Olsen, which is why Rohl should push the board to pursue him, if they are not already doing so.
The striker, who was once described as an “absolute live wire” by analyst and writer Kai Watson, could be an even better signing for the Gers than the Danish winger for multiple reasons.
For a start, Maswanhise is in his second season in the Premiership with Motherwell, since joining them from Leicester in the summer of 2024, and is a proven performer in Scottish football.
Skov Olsen, however, has never played in Scotland before, and it remains to be seen how he will adapt to life in the Premiership, which means that the Motherwell star would be less of a risk, given his wealth of experience in the division.

As you can see in the table above, Maswanhise has been one of the most prolific players in the Premiership so far this season, scoring twice as many as Rangers’ top goalscorer James Tavernier.

Per FotMob, the 23-year-old marksman, who can play centrally or out wide, has scored his ten league goals from 5.94 xG, which shows that he has been an incredibly efficient finisher.
This means that Rangers would also be signing a player who is currently flying and in brilliant form, which could help him to hit the ground running at Ibrox as a player who can deliver goals and assists straight away.
Skov Olsen, though, has joined the club off the back of a barren 12 months at Wolfsburg for goal contributions and may need time to find his confidence at the top end of the pitch again.
Rohl could sign £9m star to finally end Rothwell's Rangers career
Rangers can finally part ways with Joe Rothwell by sealing a deal to sign this star in the January window.

Therefore, Rangers could land an even better signing than the Dane by deciding to make a move for the Motherwell star who is currently shining in Scotland.
